My friend there are 3 ways to get from Boston to NYC.
Option 1 - Rail: Take Amtrak's Acela or the Northeast Regional Service from Boston's South Station to New York Penn Station. The trip will take about 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on the service.
Option 2 - Bus: Greyhound and Peter Pan Bus Line provides service from Boston to New York's Port Authority Bus Terminal. You can also take the Chinatown Bus, which operates between operates non-stop between Boston and New York's Chinatown.
Another option will taking either the Megabus, which operates a service between Boston and New York Penn Station or the Bolt Bus Lines. The trip from Boston New York will take about 4 hours each way.
