The University of Texas at Austin's Graduate Programs

With a student population topping 50,000 individuals annually, the University of Texas at Austin is the largest school in Texas. The public research university was founded in 1883. Today, it offers 154 master's degree programs and 86 doctoral programs within its Graduate School. A few common programs include:

Master of Public Accounting

According to 2010 rankings by U.S. News & World Report, this program is the number one graduate accounting program in the country. Roughly 73% of students graduating from the program passed their CPA examination on the first try.

Master of Education in Curriculum Studies

Offered through the university's College of Education, this degree program is ideal for certified teachers and graduate students who are interested in furthering their knowledge of curriculum development and deployment. It can also lead to a Ph.D. program in the field.

Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering

The University of Texas at Austin offers several graduate degree programs in the engineering field, including the M.S. in Biomedical Engineering. This program includes technical courses, as well as a thesis writing course, and it prepares graduates to immediately enter the workforce or for further studies in biomedical engineering.

Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art

Texas A&M University's Graduate Programs

Texas A&M University is a 4-year, public school located in the small town of College Station. It has an annual student population of more than 48,000 individuals. The school offers dozens of graduate degree programs through ten different academic colleges and several more interdisciplinary graduate programs.

Master of Science in Agricultural Economics
