Yellowstone’s main park roads form a “figure eight,” with spurs heading out from the “eight” to the five park entrances. For reference purposes, the “eight” is divided into an upper and lower loop.
From the East Entrance, drive west 27 miles/43 kilometers to Fishing Bridge Junction. Lake Village is 2 miles/3 kilometers south of the junction, on the main park road (lower loop.)
From the South Entrance drive north 22 miles/35 kilometers to the West Thumb Junction, then north 20 miles/32 kilometers on the main park road (lower loop) to the Lake Village.
From the Old Faithful area, drive east 17 miles/27 kilometers on the main park road (lower loop) to West Thumb Junction, then north 20 miles/32 kilometers on the main park road (lower loop) to Lake Village.
From Canyon Village, drive 16 miles/26 kilometers south on the main park road (lower loop) through Hayden Valley to the Fishing Bridge Junction, then two miles/3 kilometers further south to Lake Village.
